Cross Pollination: Poetry, Painting and Abstraction

A dialogue exploring the art of abstraction in both the literary and visual arts.

Featuring: Juliet Patterson, a Minneapolis poet whose first book, The Truant Lover, was selected by Jean Valentine as the 2004 winner of the Nightboat Poetry Prize.

G.E. Patterson is a poet, translator and art writer. His new book, To and From, is forthcoming from Ahsahta Press.

Jil Evans, a painter whose abstract work is inspired through direct observation of the natural world and art history. Jil is a Form + Content founding member whose recent body of work, The Dutch Opera, is currently on view in the gallery through May 17th.
