ANATHEA ALBERDA
Anathea Alberda was born in Oakland, California and raised throughout the South and Midwest of the States, primarily Michigan. In order to support herself in the arts Anathea has been a golf caddy, waitress, props artisan, coffee barista, house cleaner, dog trainer, preschool teacher, marketing and administrative assistant, graphic designer, ABA therapist for autistic children, and a…well, you get the point. She has a strong work ethic and is determined to make art her top priority. In 2002 Anathea graduated from the University of Michigan with a BFA in Acting and in 2009 she will graduate with her second bachelor's, a BFA in Studio Art, from the University of Minnesota. Anathea became an intern for Form + Content in 2008 and has really enjoyed the opportunity to see a professional arts cooperative run with intelligence and success. Anathea's education is critical to her personal philosophy that only a community of well-educated and engaged individuals can help an individual grow beyond their own personal constraints. Thus, she is grateful to have the opportunity to learn from all of the Form + Content gallery members.
