AMANDA OLSON

Amanda graduated from the College of Visual Arts receiving her BFA with a concentration in Fine Arts in 2009. Her goal as an artist is to expose controversial issues through her art. She is inspired by the swell of information around her, from the news, magazines, and even documentaries. Amanda portrays difficult issues in a lighthearted manner to grab the attention of the viewer and then to shock them. Her other great muse is human nature, which there is a plethora of information to critique and comment on.

"My internship at Form+Content was a great learning experiences. I worked gallery sitting, installing and de-installing shows and I also had the pleasure of working closely with gallery members Camille Gage and Howard Oransky. Interning at Form+Content gave me the opportunity to gain 13 artist mentors to help me in my own journey in becoming a practicing artist. "––Amanda Olson
