In the forward to her stunning, personal retrospective entitled Pentimento, author Lillian Hellman set the context for her work by defining the title as
" …the old conception, replaced by later choice, is a way of seeing and then seeing again … I wanted to see what was there for me once, what
is there for me now."
Kathy Wismar's Pentimento at Form+Content is the result of that re-imagination -- in paint and clay and glaze.
